Magic Carpet Rides offers a five-week Community Service Internship that provides a structure for further integration into local communities as well as an opportunity to gain work skills and the joy of giving.

Projects include teaching computer skills or reading to indigenous children, rehabilitating wild animals for release back into the jungle, and installing stoves in local homes to improve respiratory health.

Opportunities are tailored to your interests and may be in the areas of education, environment, health care or a cultural project such as helping to preserve the indigenous customs of the Maya. Upon Magic Carpet Rides review and approval, you may also pursue a self-created opportunity.

Magic Carpet Rides provides the tools for you to be successful in your projects. In addition, we monitor progress towards established performance and educational criteria through weekly reports. Partnering Non-Governmental Organization liaisons provide day-to-day oversight, management and performance evaluation. Back to Top
